New Delhi, 17th July: The third edition of Bharat Tex 2026 concluded on Friday after attracting more than 1.15 lakh visitors and securing investment commitments worth approximately ₹14,300 crore, reinforcing India’s position as a global textile manufacturing and sourcing hub.

According to the organisers, the four-day textile trade fair witnessed participation from over 11,000 buyers, including nearly 6,000 international buyers from 138 countries, along with 1,617 exhibitors, around 70 per cent of whom were micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Chairperson of the Bharat Tex Trade Federation Narain Goenka described the event as a major success, saying it brought together the entire textile value chain—from fibre and yarn to fabrics, apparel and home furnishings.

Co-chairperson Bhadresh Doria said the event also featured 905 first-time exporters, over 28,500 pre-confirmed business-to-business meetings, and more than 100 government-to-government and business-to-government engagements.

Nearly 75 per cent of exhibitors were repeat participants, while buyers from over 19 countries explored products ranging from recycled fibres to traditional khadi and handcrafted textiles.

Among the major announcements, Turkey’s Sanco Group committed to investing $500 million in recycled textile materials in India, highlighting the country’s growing appeal as a sustainable manufacturing destination.

Exhibitors also praised the quality of international buyers and networking opportunities. Textile manufacturers and exporters said Bharat Tex has become an important global platform for expanding exports and forging international partnerships.

Organisers said the success of Bharat Tex extends beyond participation figures, reflecting stronger global confidence in Indian manufacturers, exporters, artisans, startups and MSMEs, as well as the partnerships forged during the event.
