Guwahati, 28th Aug: A police personnel, identified as Parikshit Baishya, allegedly died by suicide at a residential complex in Guwahati’s Basistha area on Thursday, officials said.
Baishya was staying at the CID residential premises in Basistha. Following the incident, a team from Basistha Police Station reached the location and recovered the body.
Officials said preliminary information suggests that family-related issues may have been a factor. Baishya’s wife and child are reportedly staying in Delhi.
Police have initiated an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the death. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
