Lucknow, 12th Oct: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Seva Bharati continued their relief campaign for the sixth consecutive day in flood-affected areas of Lucknow, as rising water levels in the Gomti River disrupted normal life in several localities.

On Saturday, volunteers reached Mama Colony and Daud Nagar in the Faizullaganj area by boat to distribute relief materials among affected families. The supplies included food, drinking water and essential daily-use items.

With flooding making access to several settlements difficult, volunteers have been using boats to deliver necessities to families in need. The relief operation aims to ensure that residents in waterlogged areas receive timely assistance.

Anil, RSS Kshetra Pracharak for eastern Uttar Pradesh; Devendra, Prant Seva Pramukh; and Manshabaksh Singh, treasurer of Seva Bharati, visited the affected areas during the campaign. They interacted with volunteers, reviewed the ongoing relief operations and assessed the distribution of supplies among affected families.

RSS and Seva Bharati volunteers have been carrying out relief and assistance activities across the affected localities for six days, delivering food, water and other essential items according to local needs. The campaign continues as residents cope with the disruption caused by rising river levels.
