New Delhi, 4th Sept: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday extended her heartfelt greetings to teachers across the country on the eve of Teachers’ Day.
In her message, the President paid tribute to former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day. She recalled his contributions as an author, philosopher and extraordinary teacher.
President Murmu said teachers play a vital role in nurturing talent and strengthening the character of students through guidance and mentorship. She emphasised their responsibility to help students become good human beings and recognise their individual potential.
She urged teachers to continually update their knowledge, embrace technology and adopt innovative teaching methods. She also called upon them to promote independent thinking and cultivate a spirit of enquiry among students.
The President expressed gratitude to dedicated teachers for their contribution and wished that they would continue nurturing enlightened generations capable of taking the nation to greater heights.
