Jasbir Singh Sudan Welcomed as J&K Tug-of-War President
Senior association members felicitate newly elected president and call for stronger grassroots development of the sport

Jammu, 10th Sept: Senior members of the Jammu & Kashmir UT Tug-of-War Association welcomed and felicitated newly elected President S. Jasbir Singh Sudan at a gathering held at Hotel Asia, Jammu, on September 10.
Senior members presented a traditional garland to Sudan as a mark of respect and congratulations on his election. Sudan is an educationist, Chairman of Unique International Public School and Senior Vice President of the J&K Petroleum Dealers Association.
The members expressed confidence in Sudan’s leadership and conveyed their best wishes for the continued growth and development of Tug-of-War in Jammu and Kashmir.
They said the new leadership would provide fresh impetus to the sport and strengthen the association at the grassroots level. They also emphasised identifying young talent, creating better opportunities for athletes and promoting a disciplined and professional sporting culture across the Union Territory.
Sudan thanked the senior members and the association fraternity for the warm welcome and expressed his commitment to working collectively for the welfare of athletes, coaches and officials and for the overall promotion of Tug-of-War in J&K.
He assured that the association would work towards creating greater opportunities for players and taking the sport to new heights. Sudan also acknowledged the efforts of former President S. Hardeep Singh Anand and praised his contribution towards promoting and uplifting Tug-of-War across different parts of J&K.
Senior members present on the occasion included S. Jodh Singh Ishar, former General Secretary; Dr Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, former Senior Vice President; and Smt Kiran Kumari, former Joint Secretary of the association.
