India Condemns Houthi Attacks on Riyadh Airport

WASHINGTON – The Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday strongly condemned the repeated attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport over the past few days, including Saturday’s attack, which resulted in loss of life, injuries and damage to property.

MEA said “We express our condolences to the families of the deceased and wish the injured a speedy recovery. Repeated attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are completely unacceptable and must cease immediately,”.

It said India stands in solidarity with the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in defending their sovereignty and hopes that peace and normalcy will return to the region at the earliest.

The statement came a day after a Houthi strike reportedly killed at least 12 people and wounded more than 300 others.

The victims included Saudi citizens and foreign nationals from Bangladesh, the United States, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan and Egypt.
