New Delhi, 23rd June: The Aadhaar App has crossed 3.1 crore downloads within five months of its launch, reflecting growing public adoption of digital identity services and improved ease of living.
According to the government, nearly 40 lakh users have updated their mobile numbers through the app, while around 8.5 lakh people have completed address updates directly from their smartphones.
The app provides a privacy-focused and convenient platform for Aadhaar holders to share and verify their identity. It includes features such as biometric lock and unlock, face verification, authentication history, QR-based contact sharing, e-Aadhaar download, and online appointment booking for Aadhaar Seva Kendras.
The Aadhaar App also supports services such as hotel check-ins, hospital admissions, visitor management, event entry, and identity verification of gig workers and service providers. It is available on both Android and Apple iOS platforms.
