Agartala, 8th July: Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region and Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia will visit Tripura on July 9 to attend the Tripura Business Conclave 2026 as the chief guest, where he is expected to present the Centre’s roadmap for boosting investment, industry and connectivity in the Northeast.

The conclave, to be held at the International Fair Grounds in Hapania, Agartala, will bring together industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers to promote industrial investment, trade and entrepreneurship in the state.

During the event, Scindia will outline the Central Government’s priorities for strengthening infrastructure, logistics, communication connectivity and industrial development while highlighting the economic potential of the Northeast under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East vision and the goal of a Viksit North East.

The conclave follows the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025, where investment proposals worth nearly ₹4.5 lakh crore were received for the region, including about ₹23,867 crore for Tripura. The government said the conclave will focus on expediting these investment proposals, attracting fresh investments and creating new employment opportunities in the state.
