New Delhi, 6th June: Delhi Police on Saturday permitted a protest at Jantar Mantar by the social media-based group ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ (CJP), which is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak controversy.

The protest is being led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who arrived in New Delhi from the United States on Friday to participate in the demonstration.

According to officials, Delhi Police met Dipke upon his arrival at the airport and subsequently allowed him to proceed to Jantar Mantar, the designated protest venue in the national capital.

Dipke had earlier appealed to supporters to gather at Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission for the protest. However, after police granted approval, he urged participants to head directly to Jantar Mantar.

Visuals from the airport showed Dipke carrying a copy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s autobiography as he arrived in the capital.

Security has been significantly tightened around the protest site, with nearly 2,000 police personnel deployed at Jantar Mantar and adjoining areas in central Delhi to maintain law and order.

In a pamphlet circulated at the venue, the Cockroach Janta Party said the demonstration was aimed at demanding accountability in the NEET paper leak case and seeking the resignation of the Education Minister.

The organisation also claimed that its online petition calling for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation had garnered more than eight lakh signatures.

The Cockroach Janta Party was launched by Dipke on May 16 as a satirical digital political platform following controversy surrounding remarks made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant referring to “parasites” and “cockroaches” during court proceedings.

Within a short period, the platform gained significant attention on social media and attracted a large online following.

The protest is expected to draw participants from various states, while authorities continue to monitor the situation closely amid heightened security arrangements.
