New Delhi, 7th June: A book titled Nirogta Ke Sutra – In the Light of Gurbani and Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, focusing on healthy, balanced and stress-free living through Indian knowledge traditions, was formally launched at the Constitution Club in New Delhi.

The launch ceremony was attended by senior RSS Pracharak and National Executive Member Dr. Indresh Kumar, Dadhichi Deh Daan Samiti founder and senior advocate Alok Kumar, spiritual leader Baba Bhupinder Singh Patiala, and several distinguished guests from social, educational and cultural fields.

The book has been authored by Dr. Shyam Lal Kathpalia, a long-time Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh volunteer. Speakers at the event recalled his contributions to Indian culture, social service, health awareness and spirituality, describing his life as an example of dedication to national and human values.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Indresh Kumar said that refraining from causing harm to others is the highest form of wellness.

“Not harming anyone is the greatest formula for good health. Negative emotions such as jealousy, anger and ill-will ultimately affect both the body and mind,” he said.

He urged people to view life as a mission and stressed that healthy thoughts are essential for building a healthy society. Sharing personal memories of Dr. Kathpalia, he described the book as highly relevant in contemporary times.

Senior advocate Alok Kumar said that true health begins with understanding the concept of the “self,” which he described as a reflection of the divine.

“Where there is ‘self’, there is true health and wellness,” he said, calling the book an important contribution to Indian philosophy and health consciousness.

Spiritual leader Baba Bhupinder Singh Patiala recalled his long association with Dr. Kathpalia and said the author possesses a valuable reservoir of spiritual and intellectual insights that deserve wider global recognition.

He remarked that genuine wellness can only be achieved when individuals undertake a journey of self-reflection and inner discovery.

Union Minister of State and Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra also attended the event and conveyed his best wishes. He appreciated the efforts made by Dr. Kathpalia in promoting health awareness rooted in Indian traditions.

Geeta Kathpalia Ahuja, daughter of the author, said the book would inspire people to reconnect with cultural values and adopt a more balanced way of life amid the pressures of modern living.

The programme was anchored by former media professional and social worker Mangesh Bapat, who guided the proceedings.

Representatives from Dadhichi Deh Daan Samiti, Vidya Bharati, Arogya Bharati and Geo Gita were among those present. Several academicians, social workers and members of Dr. Kathpalia’s family also attended the event.

The ceremony concluded with children from the family reciting the 15th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, known as Purushottam Yoga, followed by a vote of thanks.
