New Delhi, 3rd Sept: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Thursday greeted the people on the eve of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, extending heartfelt wishes on the auspicious occasion celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.
In his message, Birla highlighted the deep devotion and affection for Lord Krishna among devotees in India and across the world. He recalled Krishna’s childhood stories and the special place of Kanhaiya in people’s hearts.
The Lok Sabha Speaker said the Bhagavad Gita, through the wisdom imparted by Lord Krishna to Arjuna, offers timeless guidance on duty, ethics, justice, wisdom, courage and balance in life. He described the Gita as the soul of India’s philosophical tradition.
Birla said Lord Krishna teaches that regardless of how difficult circumstances may be, those who stand firmly with truth and righteousness ultimately emerge victorious.
On the occasion, he prayed that every home be blessed with happiness and peace, every heart be filled with faith and every life be infused with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
He also prayed for the continued blessings of Lord Shri Krishna upon devotees and expressed hope that the nation and society would continue progressing on the path of truth, justice and humanity.
