Bishkek, 28th April: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday declared that Operation Sindoor demonstrated India’s firm resolve that terrorism epicentres are no longer beyond the reach of justified punitive action.
Addressing the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Defence Ministers’ Meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Singh called for a united and uncompromising front against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
He stressed that terrorism has neither nationality nor theology and warned against political double standards in dealing with terror networks and state-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
Rajnath Singh urged SCO member nations to take decisive action against countries or entities that shelter, finance or provide safe havens to terrorists.
Highlighting India’s zero-tolerance doctrine, he said consistency in counter-terror action is the true test of collective international credibility.
The Defence Minister also emphasized the broader responsibility of the SCO in ensuring both regional and global peace through dialogue, diplomacy and a rules-based international order.
Calling for a world driven by coexistence, compassion and cooperation rather than chaos and conflict, Singh invoked India’s civilizational philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam as a guiding principle.
