New Delhi, 2nd June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana Statehood Day, praising the state’s spirit of innovation, enterprise and rich cultural heritage.
In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister said Telangana has carved a distinct identity through its history of courage, determination and progress.
“Greetings to the people of Telangana on the special occasion of Telangana Statehood Day. The people of Telangana are known for their spirit of innovation and enterprise. The State is known for its glorious culture and history, one of courage and determination,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s continued development and growth as part of the broader vision of building a Viksit Bharat.
He said the Centre would continue to work closely with the state in advancing development initiatives and creating new opportunities for its citizens.
“The Central Government is committed to supporting Telangana’s growth trajectory in realising our dream of a Viksit Bharat,” the Prime Minister added.
Modi also prayed for the good health, prosperity and success of the people of Telangana.
Telangana, India’s youngest state, was officially formed on June 2, 2014, following its bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh. The day is celebrated annually across the state with official functions, cultural programmes and tributes to those who contributed to the statehood movement.
Statehood Day celebrations are being held across Telangana, with leaders and citizens commemorating the state’s journey and achievements over the past 12 years.
