New Delhi, 28th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his warm greetings to people on the occasion of World Sanskrit Day, observed on Shravana Purnima, and highlighted the enduring significance of Sanskrit in India’s intellectual and cultural heritage.
In a message shared on X, Modi said the occasion celebrates the “timeless richness” of Sanskrit, describing the language as a continuous vehicle of India’s knowledge, thought and creativity.
The Prime Minister noted that Sanskrit’s positive influence continues to be visible across several fields and emphasised the importance of preserving and transmitting its heritage to future generations.
Modi also acknowledged the contribution of people in India and across the world who study and teach Sanskrit and work to preserve the language’s timeless knowledge and traditions.
He extended his appreciation to all those engaged in promoting Sanskrit and safeguarding its rich intellectual legacy.
