OSLO, 18th May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met Harald V at the Royal Palace in Oslo and discussed expanding cooperation between India and Norway across multiple sectors, including emerging technologies.
During the audience with the Norwegian monarch, Modi conveyed greetings and best wishes from the people of India and appreciated Norway’s natural beauty.
The Prime Minister said the longstanding friendship between India and Norway continues to strengthen on the foundation of shared democratic values, rule of law and people-centric governance.
According to an official statement, Modi and King Harald V reviewed the progress made by Indian and Norwegian companies across diverse sectors, particularly in new and emerging technologies.
The meeting came during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Norway aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and strategic engagement between the two countries.
The audience at the Royal Palace was followed by a luncheon hosted by King Harald V in honour of the Indian Prime Minister.
Modi thanked the Norwegian monarch for the warm hospitality extended to him during the visit.
India and Norway have been expanding cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, maritime affairs, climate action, blue economy and innovation.
