New Delhi, 15th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tribute to Sri Aurobindo on the occasion of his birth anniversary, describing him as a towering philosopher, nationalist, poet and thinker whose life and ideas continue to inspire generations across the world.

In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said Sri Aurobindo dedicated his life not only to India’s freedom movement but also to the broader pursuit of human progress through his philosophical and spiritual contributions.

Remembering the revered leader, Shri Modi said Sri Aurobindo’s writings on a wide range of subjects remain a source of inspiration for people across generations and continue to influence intellectual and spiritual thought worldwide.

The Prime Minister also underscored the enduring relevance of Sri Aurobindo’s unwavering faith in India’s destiny and his belief in the limitless possibilities of human transformation, saying these ideals continue to resonate in the country’s journey of progress.
