New Delhi, 22nd May: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in various government departments and organisations during the 19th Rozgar Mela on May 23.
The programme will be held at 11 AM through video conferencing, during which the Prime Minister will also address the newly appointed youth.
According to the government, the Rozgar Mela initiative is aimed at accelerating employment generation and providing recruitment opportunities for young people across the country.
The 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela will be organised simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide.
Officials said newly recruited candidates from different parts of India will join various ministries and departments of the Government of India.
These include the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Department of Higher Education among others.
The Centre said the Rozgar Mela reflects the Prime Minister’s emphasis on employment generation and youth empowerment.
Since the launch of the initiative, around 12 lakh recruitment letters have been distributed through 18 Rozgar Melas conducted across the country.
The government has been organising the recruitment drives as part of efforts to speed up filling vacancies in different departments and strengthen public sector employment opportunities.
