New Delhi, 22nd May: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers to review governance reforms and discuss measures aimed at improving ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’ across the country.

Sharing details of the meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi said the discussions focused on exchanging perspectives and best practices to further strengthen governance and accelerate reforms.

The Prime Minister stated that the deliberations also centred on advancing the shared vision of a “Viksit Bharat”.

In a post on X, Modi said, “Had a fruitful meeting of the Council of Ministers yesterday. We exchanged perspectives and best practices relating to boosting ‘Ease of Living’, ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and how to further reforms in order to realise our shared dream of a Viksit Bharat.”

Officials said the meeting reviewed policy initiatives, governance improvements and reform measures aimed at simplifying public service delivery and improving the business environment.

The Centre has consistently highlighted governance reforms, digitalisation and infrastructure development as major pillars of its Viksit Bharat vision for transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

The government has also been pushing initiatives related to digital governance, investment facilitation, startup growth, manufacturing expansion and public service efficiency.

The Council of Ministers meeting comes amid continued focus on improving citizen services, boosting economic growth and strengthening India’s global investment attractiveness.
