New Delhi, 11th June: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Uttarakhand from June 12 to 13 and review the Passing Out Parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Wednesday.

According to an official statement, the President will attend the Passing Out Parade on June 13, where cadets of the 158th Regular Course and the 141st Technical Graduate Course will formally pass out from the premier military training institution.

The Passing Out Parade is one of the most significant events in the Indian Army’s training calendar, marking the commissioning of officer cadets into the armed forces after rigorous military training.

The ceremony at the Indian Military Academy will witness the graduation of future military leaders who will join various units of the Indian Army upon completion of their training.

President Murmu, as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will review the parade and interact with the cadets during the event.

The Indian Military Academy in Dehradun has produced thousands of officers for the Indian Army and friendly foreign nations since its establishment and remains one of the country’s most prestigious military institutions.
