Belagavi, 16th July: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) concluded its annual Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak in Belagavi, Karnataka, with extensive discussions on Sangh expansion, centenary year programmes, social initiatives, and key national issues, including population imbalance and drug abuse.
The meeting was attended by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, and 226 senior karyakartas.
The RSS reviewed the training camps conducted after March 2026, noting that 83 Sangh Shiksha Vargs and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Vargs were organised across the country, training 18,842 swayamsevaks. The training covered daily shakhas, Sangh functioning, village development, family awareness, disaster management and environmental conservation.
Participants discussed the implementation of action plans at the shakha level, preparations for the September Shakha Vistar Yojana, and reviewed programmes held during the Sangh’s centenary year. Plans were also made to involve people connected through centenary events in social service activities and the Panch Parivartan initiative.
The meeting also deliberated on issues related to the upcoming Census, expressing concern over challenges arising from population imbalance. Members stressed the need to intensify efforts against drug abuse through de-addiction programmes. Preparations for commemorating the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj were also discussed.
The RSS expressed grief over the reported irregularities in counting donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. It said it had confidence that the ongoing SIT investigation and police action initiated at the request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust would reach a logical conclusion. The organisation also expressed hope that adequate measures would be taken to prevent such incidents in future so that the faith of devotees remains protected.
The meeting also reviewed the proposed nationwide tour programme of Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat for 2026-27 as part of the Sangh’s ongoing organisational outreach.
