Two Dead, Several Injured After Cement Tanker Collides with Bus in Gujarat: Police

Two people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when a cement tanker crashed into a bus on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway in Nadiad late Friday night.

According to the authorities, the bus broke through the roadside railing and plunged 25 feet down.

Rajesh Gadhiya, Superintendent of Police, stated, “The bus was traveling from Ahmedabad to Pune with approximately 23 passengers. The cement tanker driver suddenly turned left and collided with the bus. Two individuals have passed away and multiple others have been injured. They are currently receiving medical treatment. A case will be filed against the tanker driver and further legal actions will be taken.” Earlier in the week, a fire broke out when a tanker overturned on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway.

The incident took place near Vaghaldhara village in Gujarat’s Valsad district. Dungri police, along with numerous fire trucks, promptly responded to the fire incident after being notified.
