Barcelona, 19th July: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Spain held its first-ever offline meeting in Barcelona, bringing together members of the Hindu community and representatives of various organisations to discuss key initiatives aimed at strengthening the community in Spain.

The meeting, held at Bollywood Restaurant in Barcelona, focused on several important issues, including securing official recognition of the Hindu faith in Spain, the construction of a grand Hindu temple, promoting social cooperation and preparing a roadmap for the future activities of VHP Spain.

The session was chaired by Govind Morwani. Among those present were Jaswinder Kumar (Raju), Tikaram Shastri, representatives of the Nepal Hindu Samaj, Pawan Kumar from the Telugu Association, Alok Lahad, and members of various Hindu organisations and community groups.

Participants discussed measures to enhance community engagement, preserve cultural and religious traditions, and promote the values of Sanatan Dharma, service, harmony and social welfare.

VHP Spain thanked all attendees for their participation and described the gathering as a historic step towards uniting and empowering the Hindu community in the country.

The organisation also expressed gratitude to the management and staff of Bollywood Restaurant for providing the venue and supporting the successful conduct of the meeting.

Concluding the event, VHP Spain reaffirmed its commitment to working collectively for the welfare of the Hindu community in Spain under the message, “Unity is Strength.”
