Over 90 employers participate as Skill Development Ministry connects youth with jobs and apprenticeships

Warangal, 27th June: More than 1,000 young job seekers from Telangana received employment offers at Kaushal Mahotsav–Warangal 2026, organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in partnership with the Telangana Government and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

Held at the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), the one-day employment and skilling event attracted over 4,500 registrations, with more than 2,200 candidates participating in on-the-spot recruitment conducted by over 90 employers across diverse sectors.

Job opportunities were offered in manufacturing, automotive, logistics, textiles, retail, healthcare, IT-ITeS, telecom, tourism, hospitality and banking. Candidates included school pass-outs, ITI graduates, diploma holders, graduates and skilled professionals.

MSDE Director V.S. Arvind said more than 1,000 candidates, nearly half of those who attended the recruitment drive, had already secured job offers, while applications of other shortlisted candidates would continue to be evaluated by participating employers.

The event also featured recruitment support from the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited (TOMCOM), which facilitated over 200 overseas employment opportunities for eligible candidates.

Besides recruitment, the Mahotsav created awareness about apprenticeship opportunities and flagship government initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and Skill India Digital, aimed at enhancing employability through continuous skilling, upskilling and reskilling.

Officials said the success of the Warangal edition reinforces the Centre’s commitment to linking skill development with employment and building a globally competitive workforce in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
