New Delhi, 15th April: Youth United for Vision and Action (YUVA) has strongly condemned the disruption during a student programme at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar College, Delhi University, alleging that activists linked to left student groups created disorder during the event.
According to a press release issued by Youth United for Vision and Action, the incident occurred during the ‘Yuva Kumbh’ programme organised under the aegis of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The event, centred on the theme “Role of Youth in Nation Building,” was aimed at promoting national consciousness and civic responsibility among students.
YUVA alleged that the programme, which was proceeding peacefully, was disrupted by slogan-shouting and obstruction by members associated with student groups like SFI and AISA.
The organisation termed the incident “unacceptable” and said such actions violate academic decorum and undermine the spirit of dialogue in educational institutions.
It urged the college administration to take strict action against those involved to ensure a conducive environment for learning and discussion.
Despite the disruption, YUVA claimed that the programme continued and concluded successfully, with participating students maintaining discipline and engagement.
The organisation emphasised that universities should remain spaces for intellectual exchange and constructive dialogue, not disruption.
