Shimla, 1st May: President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday visited the Headquarters of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) in Shimla, where she reviewed major initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s military preparedness and technological advancement.

As Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the President was briefed on ARTRAC’s expanding role in designing future warfare concepts, operational training and strategic capability development for the Indian Army.

Army officials highlighted several modernisation initiatives, including advanced drone training, integration of emerging technologies, digitisation, automation and the innovative ‘Red Teaming’ concept to sharpen combat readiness.

President Murmu acknowledged ARTRAC’s critical contribution to military professionalism, resource development and strategic preparedness through its network of premier training institutions.

She emphasized that robust military training remains central to India’s goals of national security, self-reliance and Viksit Bharat.

During her interaction with senior military leadership, the President stressed the need for continued innovation and operational excellence to address evolving security challenges.

She praised ARTRAC personnel and defence civilians for their contributions and urged them to further intensify efforts toward strengthening the Indian Army’s future readiness.
