New Delhi, 20th May: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, on Wednesday said he has co-authored a joint op-ed with Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.
Sharing details on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said India-Italy relations have reached a “decisive stage” and are being strengthened through innovation, democratic values and a shared vision for the future.
“Ours is a Special Strategic Partnership driven by innovation, shared democratic values and a common vision for the future,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister noted that the bilateral partnership between India and Italy continues to deepen across multiple sectors.

India and Italy have expanded cooperation in areas including trade, technology, defence, clean energy, connectivity and strategic affairs in recent years.
The two leaders have also maintained regular high-level engagements aimed at strengthening economic and geopolitical cooperation between the two democracies.
The joint op-ed comes amid growing India-Europe engagement and enhanced collaboration between New Delhi and Rome under the India-Italy Special Strategic Partnership framework.
