New Delhi, 3rd June: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar that claimed multiple lives and left several others injured.
In a post on X, Shah said he was deeply distressed by the incident and noted that local authorities were actively engaged in relief and rescue operations.
“The fire incident in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar has caused immense anguish. The local administration is engaged in relief and rescue operations,” the Home Minister said.
Shah extended his condolences to families who lost their loved ones in the tragedy and prayed for strength and courage for those grieving the loss of family members.
“My condolences are with those who have lost their loved ones in this heartbreaking incident. May God give the bereaved families the strength to bear this loss,” he said.
The Union Home Minister also stated that the injured were being provided the best possible medical treatment and expressed hope for their speedy recovery.
“All injured persons are being provided the best medical facilities. I pray for the early recovery of all those injured,” Shah added.
The fire broke out at a hotel building in Malviya Nagar earlier in the day, triggering a major rescue operation involving Delhi Fire Services, police and other emergency response agencies.
Authorities are continuing rescue, relief and investigation efforts while providing assistance to affected families.
