India, Thailand Deepen Defence Cooperation
10th Defence Dialogue focuses on manufacturing, innovation and Indo-Pacific security

Bangkok, 17th June: India and Thailand agreed to deepen collaboration in defence manufacturing, research, innovation and capability development during the 10th Thailand-India Defence Dialogue held in Bangkok.
The dialogue was co-chaired by Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary for Defence Admiral Nuttapol Diewvanich and Joint Secretary in India’s Ministry of Defence, Satyajit Mohanty. The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral defence cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global security issues.
Both countries discussed the evolving security environment in the Indo-Pacific and reaffirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
The discussions covered military engagements, training exchanges, capacity-building initiatives, maritime cooperation and opportunities for greater collaboration between the defence industries of both countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation under ASEAN-led mechanisms and reaffirmed their commitment to addressing shared security challenges through dialogue and practical cooperation.
India and Thailand, which elevated their ties to a Strategic Partnership in 2025, also discussed future engagements and the roadmap for further strengthening bilateral defence relations.
