The event, held in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and other state ministers, benefited more than 80,000 families through house sanctions and handover of newly constructed pucca houses.

Under PMAY-U 2.0, sanction letters were issued to eligible beneficiaries with a government subsidy support of ₹1,050 crore. The scheme aims to provide safe, affordable and dignified housing to urban poor families.

Addressing the gathering, Manohar Lal said every new house represents dignity, security and hope for families and reiterated the government’s commitment to achieving the vision of “Housing for All” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Madhya Pradesh has emerged as one of the leading states in PMAY-U implementation, with more than 10.39 lakh houses sanctioned under PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0, of which over 9.08 lakh houses have already been completed.

The Centre said PMAY-U 2.0 will continue expanding affordable housing coverage, with financial assistance of up to ₹2.5 lakh being provided to support one crore additional EWS, LIG and MIG families in constructing, purchasing or renting pucca houses in urban areas.
