Mohali, 13th Sept: The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Mili Garg, district president of the BJP Mohali Mahila Morcha, as the Punjab Pradesh Mahila Morcha Office Secretary.
A law graduate from Panjab University, Garg has also been a former worker of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. She has remained active in social service and has worked with various social organisations on issues including education for underprivileged children, women’s empowerment and concerns affecting different sections of society.
In 2019, Garg won the Alora Mrs. India title and represented India in the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
After being entrusted with the new state-level responsibility, Garg expressed gratitude to the BJP’s central leadership, senior Punjab leaders, particularly Punjab Pradesh Mahila Morcha president Biba Jai Inder Kaur, and party workers.
Garg said she would discharge her new responsibility with dedication, commitment and a strong sense of duty. She said she would work towards further strengthening the organisation from the booth level to the state level.
She said the BJP’s distinctive feature is that an ordinary party worker can rise to an important state-level responsibility through hard work, commitment and dedication. Garg said she was determined to uphold the trust placed in her by the party with sincerity and hard work.
