PM Modi Distributes 51,000 Appointment Letters

• Over 51,000 appointment letters distributed to new government recruits.

New Delhi, 19th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth at the 20th Rozgar Mela through video conferencing.

Addressing the new appointees, Modi said India’s youth are central to the country’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. He congratulated the recruits and highlighted the efforts and sacrifices of their families behind their achievement.

The Prime Minister said the talent and skills of Indian youth have earned global confidence, with expectations rising from Indian innovators, entrepreneurs and young professionals.

Modi highlighted the government’s initiatives in education, skilling and apprenticeships, including the National Education Policy, Skill India Mission and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.

He also referred to the PM-SETU scheme for modernising 1,000 government ITIs with an investment of ₹60,000 crore and said efforts were being made to align education and skills with the changing requirements of the economy.

The Prime Minister said India is currently the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with nearly half of recognised startups based in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Modi said Free Trade Agreements with around 40 countries were creating new markets for Indian businesses and additional career opportunities for young people.

He also highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, a ₹1 lakh crore initiative aimed at bringing two crore youth into the formal workforce. The scheme provides incentives for first-time employees and employers creating additional jobs, he said.

The Prime Minister said economic growth, investment and industrial expansion were essential for creating employment opportunities. He cited India’s 7.8% growth rate and a 12% rise in investment during the first quarter.

Addressing the newly appointed government employees, Modi called for continued administrative reforms, easier compliance, improved ease of doing business and greater support for innovation.

He urged the recruits to use their positions to remove difficulties faced by citizens and other young people. He also encouraged them to continuously upgrade their skills and learn new technologies through Mission Karmayogi.

Concluding his address, Modi stressed that public trust is central to effective governance and called upon the recruits to follow the principle of “Nagrik Devo Bhava”, saying that their success would be measured by how effectively their work makes citizens’ lives easier.
