PM Modi, UAE President Discuss Strategic Partnership

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed conveys birthday greetings to PM Modi; leaders discuss West Asia and bilateral cooperation

NEW DELHI, 18th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who conveyed birthday greetings to the Prime Minister, according to the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed measures to further deepen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on energy, defence, technology, investment and health.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also congratulated Prime Minister Modi on India’s successful BRICS Presidency. Modi appreciated the participation of UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled in the BRICS Summit and acknowledged the UAE’s cooperation and partnership in achieving substantive outcomes during India’s Presidency.

The two leaders also exchanged views on developments in West Asia and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and coordination to promote peace, security and stability in the region.
