New Delhi, 14th Aug: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday extended her warm greetings to citizens on the eve of Parsi New Year Navroz, conveying her best wishes to people in India and abroad, especially members of the Parsi community.
In her message, the President described Navroz as a festival that symbolises new beginnings and renewed hope, adding that the occasion celebrates joy, harmony and the values of peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.
Highlighting the contribution of the Parsi community, President Murmu said Parsis have played a significant role in India’s development through their spirit of enterprise, philanthropy and commitment to nation-building.
She expressed confidence that the sacred festival would inspire all citizens to work together in strengthening the ideals of inclusion and contribute towards the vision of a developed India.
The President also wished that the festival brings happiness, peace and prosperity to all and reinforces the shared values of unity, compassion and social harmony.
