New Delhi, 4th Nov: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to allow Parliament to function, asserting that the Narendra Modi government is prepared to discuss every issue, including the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
In a statement shared on social media, Shah said the government was ready for a discussion on SIR and urged Rahul Gandhi to ensure that parliamentary proceedings continued.
The remarks came amid political tensions over the opposition’s demand for a discussion on SIR. Shah accused the Congress of repeatedly disrupting parliamentary proceedings and questioned Rahul Gandhi’s approach to debates in the House.
Shah also alleged that Gandhi avoids discussions when the government presents facts and criticised the Congress over its political record. These remarks reflect the BJP’s criticism of the opposition’s parliamentary conduct.
