New Delhi, 18th April: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday said that “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi” must remain the guiding principle for the youth, as he addressed the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Balagokulam Delhi-NCR at Thyagaraj Stadium in the national capital.

Describing Balagokulam as a confluence of culture and character, he said the organisation has played a vital role in shaping generations of young minds.

Highlighting contemporary challenges, the Vice President noted that children today face increasing distractions and value-based dilemmas. He said institutions like Balagokulam help connect them to their roots while preparing them for the future.

Radhakrishnan stressed that the vision of ‘Amrit Kaal’ requires nurturing responsible, value-driven citizens who can lead the country towards a prosperous future.

He underlined the need to balance civilisational pride with modern aspirations, calling it essential for nation-building.

Addressing children, he described them as the torch-bearers of the organisation’s legacy and urged them to imbibe values such as discipline, teamwork, respect for elders and love for culture.

He also spoke about the concept of ‘Krishnarpanam’, describing it as dedicating one’s actions and talents to a higher purpose, inspired by the teachings of Lord Krishna.

Union Ministers Shripad Naik and George Kurian, along with Balagokulam officials, were present at the event.
