Mumbai, 6th June: The World Hindu Congress (WHC) 2026, one of the largest global gatherings of Hindu leaders, thinkers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and social activists, will be held in Mumbai from December 18 to 20, 2026.
The three-day event will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre and is expected to attract more than 4,500 delegates from over 60 countries, making it one of the most prominent international Hindu gatherings in recent years.
The upcoming edition assumes added significance as it coincides with the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), marking its Shatabdi Varsh celebrations.
The theme of WHC 2026 is “Samānaṃ Vrataṃ Saha Cittam” — Shared Commitment: Collective Resolve — underscoring the importance of unity, cooperation and collective action among Hindu communities worldwide.
Industrialist Ajay Piramal, Chairman of the Piramal Group, has been appointed Chairperson of the event. He will be assisted by Co-Chairpersons Vishad Mafatlal and Mahesh Bhagchandka.
Organisers said the Congress will feature seven parallel conferences focusing on key areas of public life and community development. These include the World Hindu Economic Forum, Hindu Education Conference, Hindu Media Conference, Hindu Political Conference, Hindu Women Conference, Hindu Youth Conference and Hindu Organisational Conference.
The forums are expected to deliberate on issues ranging from economic growth and education to media representation, political participation, youth leadership and organisational development.
Addressing a press conference announcing the event, organisers said the Congress seeks to promote Hindu resurgence, inclusive progress and collective action rooted in dharmic values. The platform will facilitate networking, exchange of ideas and strategic partnerships among institutions and individuals committed to strengthening Hindu society globally.
Since its inception, the World Hindu Congress has expanded its international footprint. The inaugural edition was held in New Delhi in 2014, followed by Chicago in 2018 and Bangkok in 2023. Together, these events attracted more than 6,500 participants from over 60 countries.
The Congress has previously hosted a wide range of distinguished personalities, including spiritual leaders, policymakers, economists, academics, entrepreneurs and cultural figures.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Swami Vigyananand, the ideator of the World Hindu Congress, highlighted the increasing global visibility and influence of Hindu communities.
He said that while Hindus have achieved considerable progress over the past century, there remains a need to accelerate efforts towards fulfilling global Hindu aspirations and addressing emerging challenges through collective action.
“The centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh offers an important opportunity for Hindus worldwide to reaffirm their commitment to the civilisational values that have sustained Hindu society through millennia,” he said.
Ajay Piramal described the World Hindu Congress as a unique platform where Hindu thought meets global ambition.
Expressing confidence about the event, he said the Congress would help channel the entrepreneurial, intellectual and social energies of Hindus worldwide towards building a more prosperous, just and dharmic world.
Organisers said special emphasis will be placed on strategic issues affecting Hindu communities globally, with discussions aimed at generating practical outcomes and long-term partnerships.
Founded on the principle of creating a common platform for collaboration, social welfare and justice, the World Hindu Congress operates under the guiding motto, “Yato Dharmastato Jaya” — Where There is Dharma, There is Victory.
With preparations gathering pace, WHC 2026 is expected to emerge as one of the most influential global Hindu events of the decade, bringing together diverse voices while reinforcing a shared commitment to Hindu values, identity and collective progress.
