New Delhi, 6th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM), where members discussed a wide range of issues related to India’s economic transformation and long-term development priorities.
The meeting focused on strategies to sustain economic growth, strengthen reforms and support India’s development goals in the coming years.
Sharing details of the deliberations, the Prime Minister said the discussions covered key aspects of India’s economic journey and explored ways to further accelerate the pace of reforms.
According to the Prime Minister, participants also shared perspectives on enhancing both “Ease of Living” for citizens and “Ease of Doing Business” for enterprises.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said, “Chaired a meeting of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. Deliberated on a wide range of issues relating to India’s economic transformation and long-term development priorities.”
He added that the meeting also discussed “adding more momentum to the reforms journey and ensuring Ease of Living as well as Ease of Doing Business.”
The Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister serves as an independent body that provides advice on economic and related issues to the Government of India.
The meeting comes at a time when India continues to focus on maintaining high growth, attracting investments, improving competitiveness and advancing structural reforms aimed at strengthening the country’s position among the world’s leading economies.
Officials said the discussions reflected the government’s continued emphasis on economic modernization, policy reforms and creating a conducive environment for both businesses and citizens.
