Youth Participation Key to Building Drug-Free India: VP

C.P. Radhakrishnan praises Delhi University's Nasha Mukt campaign and calls for nationwide participation

New Delhi, 18th June: Vice President of India and Chancellor of the University of Delhi, C.P. Radhakrishnan on Thursday commended the University’s achievements under the Nasha Mukt Parisar Abhiyaan and appreciated the participation of thousands of students in the movement against drug abuse.

In a social media post, the Vice President recalled the launch of the Drug-Free Campus Campaign and the e-pledge platform at the University earlier this year. He urged students to become ambassadors of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and actively contribute to eliminating the menace of drug addiction.

He highlighted that over 53,000 students have taken the mandatory pledge through collective efforts under the campaign and said such initiatives play a significant role in building a healthier, stronger and more prosperous nation.

Calling for wider participation, Radhakrishnan urged universities and educational institutions across the country to join the Drug-Free Campus Campaign and encourage students to actively take part in the initiative.

He emphasised that sustained awareness and collective action among young people are essential to achieving the vision of a Drug-Free India.
