As part of the preparations for the global event, the Bharatiya Tatrakshak on Wednesday organised the Working Level Meeting (WLM) of the 5th CGGS in a hybrid format, bringing together participating maritime agencies to discuss institutional and organisational arrangements for the summit.

According to an official statement, the meeting focused on refining the CGGS Meeting Guidelines, strengthening the Information Sharing Mechanism, and enhancing the development and management of the CGGS website. Participants also explored ways to expand collective capability building through greater exchange of professional expertise, operational experiences and best practices.

The Working Level Meeting served as an important platform for advancing preparations for the 2027 summit while promoting dialogue and coordination among participating maritime organisations. Delegates also reviewed the proposed Activity Calendar for future collaborative engagements aimed at strengthening long-term maritime partnerships.

The government said the 5th Coast Guard Global Summit will reflect India’s MAHASAGAR vision and reaffirm the country’s commitment to building a collaborative, inclusive and forward-looking maritime order.

The Bharatiya Tatrakshak reiterated its commitment to supporting international cooperation for the safety, security and well-being of the global maritime commons through sustained engagement and collective efforts with partner maritime agencies.
