Scindia Flies Drone with Namo Drone Didi in Guna

Union Minister highlights women’s empowerment and technology adoption in rural areas during visit to Guna

Guna, 18th Sept: Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M. Scindia flew a drone alongside Namo Drone Didi Kiran during the Chief Minister Jan Vishwas Camp held at Barkheda Gird in Guna on Friday.

Kiran demonstrated her technical skills and confidence in operating the drone before the Union Minister. Scindia also gained hands-on experience in drone operations alongside her and appreciated her technical proficiency, confidence and awareness of the technology.

Scindia said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts are being made to promote the use of modern technology in rural areas while creating opportunities for women to become self-reliant.

He said the Namo Drone Didi scheme is enabling rural women to use drone technology effectively in agriculture and explore new opportunities in the sector.

The Union Minister also said that the Madhya Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, is prioritising women’s empowerment, rural development and the expansion of modern technology.

Scindia described Namo Drone Didis as examples of self-reliance, innovation and women’s empowerment. He particularly appreciated Kiran’s confidence and said that the growing adoption of modern technology by rural women reflects the changing landscape of India.
