Rajouri, 3rd Oct: A 17-year-old girl from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was detained after she allegedly crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district late ight, according to sources.

According to the sources, an Indian Army patrol detected suspicious movement near the LoC fence in the Lam sector of Nowshera and challenged the person.

On closer inspection, the patrol found the individual to be a teenage girl from Khuiretta in PoK. She was questioned at the spot before being handed over to Nowshera Police for further verification.

During preliminary questioning, the girl reportedly told authorities that she had inadvertently crossed into Indian territory.

Security agencies are examining her account to determine whether the crossing was accidental or whether there was any other motive behind her entry. Further questioning and verification are underway.
