New Delhi, 8th Oct: The Bajrang Dal on Thursday denied reports that its workers were planning to participate in a protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, calling such claims misleading.

In a statement posted on X, the organisation said it had consistently opposed what it described as “anarchic” demonstrations and maintained that it also opposed protests being held in the name of the Chief Election Commissioner.

The Bajrang Dal specifically rejected claims that its workers would reach Jantar Mantar as part of the proposed agitation, saying there was no such plan from the organisation.

The statement came amid reports and claims circulating on social media about the possible participation of Bajrang Dal workers in a Jantar Mantar protest. The organisation said such reports amounted to misleading propaganda.

The Bajrang Dal further criticised the proposed agitation, claiming that it lacked public support and would eventually lose momentum.

The organisation’s statement comes as opposition parties and other groups have been holding protests related to the Election Commission and issues surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The Bajrang Dal, however, made clear that it had no programme to send its workers to Jantar Mantar in connection with the agitation.
