New Delhi, 9th July: Nutrelis Agro Foods on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture and food processing.
The agreement was signed during a Business Interaction organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Afghanistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, H.E. Mawlawi Attaullah Omari, with the objective of promoting collaboration in agriculture, agro-processing and sustainable farming practices.
Under the agreement, both sides will work together to develop value-added agricultural products, promote food processing and agro-processing technologies, encourage cultivation of high-value cash crops, and strengthen market linkages and technology transfer.
The partnership also seeks to create new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment while enhancing farmers’ incomes through sustainable agricultural practices and innovation.
Nutrelis Agro Foods said the collaboration marks a significant milestone in expanding its international partnerships and reinforces its commitment to empowering farmers through value addition, technology and sustainable agriculture.
The company expressed confidence that the partnership with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture would lead to mutually beneficial projects that contribute to agricultural growth, food security and stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.
