Sri Lanka Showcases MICE Tourism at BLTM 2026
Partner Country participation in New Delhi highlights corporate travel, business events and destination experiences

WASHINGTON – Sri Lanka on Saturday participated at BLTM 2026 was led by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau while the event focused on promoting Sri Lanka as a destination for MICE tourism, corporate travel and business events.
Sri Lanka participated as the ‘Partner Country’ at BLTM 2026 in New Delhi from September 2–4.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion was inaugurated by High Commissioner Mahishini Colonne.
Chairman Dheera Hettiarachchi and tourism industry representatives were also, present on the occasion.
Some 25 Sri Lankan travel agents and hoteliers participated in the national pavilion.
They held business meetings with hosted buyers and trade visitors from India and other markets.
Sri Lanka highlighted its hotels, convention facilities, cultural heritage and wellness experiences.
The destination weddings, conferences and incentive programmes were also showcased.
The participation strengthened tourism and business ties between India and Sri Lanka, media reported.
