New Delhi, 17th July: Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan on Friday released the book “RSS @100: A Century of Service, Unity & Sacrifice”, saying the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has strengthened the ideals of service, unity and national consciousness over the past century.
The book, authored by Shyam Jaju and Anupam Trivedi, was released at Uprashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice-President described the RSS as being like the holy Ganga, flowing selflessly for the welfare of others, and said the organisation has inspired generations through its commitment to service and nation-building.
He said the Sangh has played a significant role in preserving India’s cultural heritage, promoting leadership through its daily shakhas and fostering national consciousness across generations.
Referring to a chapter on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Radhakrishnan said Modi’s journey from a Swayamsevak to Pradhan Sevak reflects the principles of “Seva” and “Nation First”, which have remained central to his governance.
The Vice-President said the RSS centenary marks the dedication of lakhs of volunteers whose commitment has helped build one of the world’s largest voluntary organisations through service, sacrifice and national unity.
