Kananaskis, 17th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G7 Outreach Session on “Reviving a Balanced, Shared and Sustainable Economic Growth for All” and called for a development model that prioritises inclusion, resilience and shared prosperity.

The Prime Minister said that the true measure of growth is not limited to GDP or trade figures but lies in understanding who benefits from growth, who is included in it and the direction it takes. He stated that India’s development journey demonstrates that shared progress can be transformed from an aspiration into reality and said that when India progresses, one-sixth of humanity moves forward with it.

Highlighting India’s governance philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” PM Modi said the principle has guided India’s domestic progress as well as its global engagement. He recalled India’s G20 Presidency theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” as a reflection of the country’s civilisational values.

The Prime Minister highlighted the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) as a strategic initiative connecting Asia, the Middle East and Europe through enhanced trade, supply chains, investment and innovation. He called for advancing similar connectivity projects based on local ownership, transparent financing and long-term sustainability.

Drawing inspiration from IMEC, PM Modi proposed the creation of the International Mobilisation Partnership for Accelerating Connectivity and Trade (IMPACT), bringing together G7 capital, India’s talent and the ownership of Global South nations to create new corridors for trade, technology, energy and opportunity.

He also proposed a Global Skills Partnership to leverage the complementarity between ageing developed economies and the young talent, enterprise and skills available in India and other Global South countries through skill mapping and trusted skilled mobility.

Referring to disruptions in fuel, fertiliser and food supply chains caused by the West Asia crisis, PM Modi said vulnerable developing countries should not bear the burden of global crises alone. He urged international financial institutions to create support mechanisms to help developing countries absorb shocks and maintain economic resilience.

The Prime Minister said India’s commitment to shared prosperity is reflected through its trade agreements with many countries represented at the summit. He stressed that India believes in integration over fragmentation, partnership over protectionism and shared prosperity over uncertainty.

PM Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to working with global partners to strengthen shared economic resilience and build a more stable, reliable and prosperous global economy.
