PM Modi to Launch ₹1.06 Lakh Cr Projects in Rajasthan, Gujarat

New Delhi, 3rd July: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Gujarat on July 4 to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth around ₹1.06 lakh crore, spanning aviation, petrochemicals, transport, renewable energy, railways and semiconductors.
The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Jodhpur, where he will launch the Modified UDAN Scheme aimed at strengthening regional air connectivity with an outlay of ₹28,840 crore over the next decade. He will also inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport, developed at a cost of ₹480 crore with an annual passenger handling capacity of 20 lakh.
In Balotra, Modi will dedicate India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra, developed by HPCL and the Rajasthan government at an investment of over ₹79,450 crore. The 9 MMTPA refinery is expected to boost energy security, petrochemical production and employment while anchoring a major petrochemical and plastics hub.
He will also lay the foundation stone for Phase II of the Jaipur Metro, a ₹13,000-crore project, besides inaugurating railway doubling projects, the Jodhpur Ring Road section, major solar power projects in Bikaner and power transmission infrastructure to strengthen renewable energy evacuation. Appointment letters will also be distributed to around 54,000 newly recruited Rajasthan government employees.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Sanand, Gujarat, to inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility, one of the first projects approved under the India Semiconductor Mission. Built with an investment of over ₹7,500 crore, the facility will have an annual production capacity of up to 5 billion semiconductor chips and cater to sectors including automotive, telecommunications, industrial electronics, 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT).
