WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that an American delegation is heading to Islamabad for another round of talks with Iran as he accused Tehran of violating the ceasefire agreement by firing bullets at vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
He said that he is offering Iran a “fair and reasonable DEAL” and Tehran should take it.
Trump in a social media post on Truth Social, said that Iran has violated the ceasefire agreement by firing bullets on ships sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan they will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations,” Trump remarked.
Trump said it was “strange” as the US blockade has already closed the chokepoint waterway on Iran announced to close the Strait of Hormuz,.
He claimed that Iran is unknowingly helping the US by closing the Hormuz Strait.
“They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing.”
Trump added that he is offering Iran a “fair and reasonable DEAL” and Tehran should take it.
If they don’t, Trump reiterated, the United States is going to “knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.”
“NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years,” he said, adding in all capitals “IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!”
US and Iran held the first round of talks to end the war in Islamabad last week.
The talks collapsed after both sides failed to reach consensus on each other’s terms.
According to media reports, the US wanted Iran to suspend its nuclear activities for 20 years but Tehran was only ready for a five-year pause.
The ceasefire in Lebanon was another sticking point that derailed the talks.
The only major issue with a ceasefire in Lebanon already achieved, remains is the nuclear ambitions of Tehran, which both sides will focus on during the second round of talks tomorrow.
