New Delhi, 9th July: Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan will virtually inaugurate the Permanent Exhibition on the Journey of Vande Mataram and the international seminar on “Sardar Patel’s Vision: Integration, Unification and Federalism” at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla.
The Vice President will address the inaugural session through video conferencing after his scheduled visit to Shimla was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.
According to the Vice President’s Secretariat, Shri Radhakrishnan was originally slated to inaugurate the exhibition and seminar in person at the IIAS campus. However, adverse weather prevented his travel to Himachal Pradesh.
The permanent exhibition showcases the historical journey and significance of Vande Mataram, while the international seminar will deliberate on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of national integration, unification and cooperative federalism.
The event will be held at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study in Shimla with the Vice President participating virtually from New Delhi.
