‘The Hindu Manifesto’ Book Launched in Guwahati Amid Call for Cultural Awakening

Guwahati, 23rd May: A grand launch ceremony for the book The Hindu Manifesto was organised on Thursday at the PWD Convention Auditorium in Dispur, Guwahati, under the aegis of Samagra Vikas Nyas.
The event, centred on the theme “Hindu Renaissance and Awakening of Hindutva”, witnessed the participation of religious leaders, intellectuals, social workers and members of the public.
The programme began with ceremonial lamp-lighting by prominent guests including Swami Vigyananand, former Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita, senior journalist and Global Governance News’ Dr Kumar Rakesh, Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana National General Secretary Himanta Dhing Majumdar, VHP North-East regional organising secretary Dinesh Tiwari, VHP Guwahati metropolitan president Sabin Rajkhowa, retired IAS officer Hitesh Dev Sharma and Samagra Vikas Nyas director Poonam Sharma.
The formal release of the book was followed by a discussion session on its themes and ideas.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Vigyananand spoke about the eight chapters of The Hindu Manifesto and said the book presents a vision for building a strong, prosperous and value-based India.
He described the publication as more than just a book, calling it a guide for social and national reconstruction.
The religious leader said the ideas contained in the book were not only relevant to India but could also help strengthen the role of Indian culture globally.
Swami Vigyananand also stressed the importance of women’s dignity and their constructive role in society.
Senior journalist Dr Kumar Rakesh, in his address, described The Hindu Manifesto as a thoughtful and contemporary work offering new perspectives on several social issues.
Former Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita said literature and intellectual discourse of this nature could contribute meaningfully to nation-building, preservation of cultural values and social harmony.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Poonam Sharma, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, organisers and attendees.
